How to make Fish Pie Recipe.
I will be showing you an easy do-it-yourself kind of fish pie, that would serve as a very good and satisfactory breakfast for your family.
- Cut carrots, spring onions and green pepper into tiny cubes.
- Scatter and mixed smoked fishing in a plate with 1 teaspoon of ducros curry powder.
- Heat little amount of vegetable oil in a small pot, add the diced green pepper and carrot and stir. Then add spiced matched fish and a pinch of salt. Fry till it’s well done. Now it’s time to prepare the dough for the fish pie.
DOUGH
- Put flour in a sizeable bowl, add 2 teaspoon of baking powder and 2 pinch of salt. You don’t need much salt for fish pie.
- Add vegetable oil or a sachet of margarine into flour and mix with your hands till it’s well spread.
- Add water mixed with sugar and knead the dough thoroughly till it gets stiff and thick. Then wait for 5mins to make the dough more elastic.
- Cut a portion of the dough with your hand and roll almost flat on a chopping board with a rolling stick or a clean bottle.
- Scoop some already fried fish mixture into the centre of the dough. Fold one part of the dough to meet the other end. Then with a knife cut out the excess dough from the surrounding and press the edges down with a knife to be tightly closed. Note: the quantity of fish mixture added, should be such that you can close the dough without overflow. And secondly, you can rub egg on the body of the closed dough to give it that golden brown look when done.
- Rub margarine on the oven tray before placing your fish pie on it so that it won’t stick to the tray. Bake for 30 – 40 minutes. One tray should be able to accommodate more than 4 fish pies to save time.
- Confirm that your fish pie is done and ready when it starts getting brown. Then serve with soft drink or tea.
